First time Swinging!

This past weekend we went to a local park and Tessa went on the swings for the first time. She LOVED it! It was pretty hot out so we stayed in the shade and played on a blanket most of the time while Casey played basketball and grilled with some friends. Here are a ton of pictures:

So I think I have my blog finally caught up! Hope you all enjoy the pictures and posts! I will have one more post with a couple of video's.

Until next time..Peace, Love, and Tessa!

Up North!

Casey, Tessa, and I drove the 4 hours up to our hometown over the 4th of July. We had so much fun but unfortunately my mom hurt her back and we did do as much as we usually would. It was a nice relaxing weekend (actually 5 days) but it sure was HOT. We are totally spoiled and used to having A/C. Tessa did not to well in the heat - she did not eat well or sleep well most of the trip. My parents were able to get a window A/C unit for my bedroom window and that helped keep Tessa cool that last couple of days. She also went in a little pool for the first time. She was unsure at first but ended up loving it and splashing and having so much fun. Here are some pictures of our trip:
Tessa's first time in sand...she hated it. Thats my girl!

Daddy trying to get Tessa to play in the Sand.

She wasn't having anything to do with it and wanted OUT!

Playing outside while dinner was being grilled!

I love this picture of her...she was looking at her daddy.
Notice the bug bite next to her nose?! We both got bit so many time...darn bugs!

Exhausted! She looks so long in this picture.

Happy 4th of July!!!! My poor baby was miserable. It was sooo hot out and she was really fussy and cried a lot. Thankfully though the sirens and stuff during the parade didn't bother her at all.

SWIM TIME! Any guesses as to who got her this swimsuit? Yep...Jessica! :-) She really loved the water once she got used to it. Unfortunately for me now she splashes so much more during bath time!

This water was exactly what she needed...it was so hot. I think it was hotter in my parents house than it was outside!

Fingers always in her mouth!

I was so paranoid the entire time that she was going to fall backwards.

playing at Nana's

She is just so cute!!!!  I can't get enough of her!

I wish I had more pictures but SOMEONE lost my camera batteries :-(
Can't wait to get up north again!!!!

More Fun Tessa Pictures!

She absolutely loves this toy - it sings really annoying songs about different zoo animals.
Sitting in the nice warm clothes from the dryer as we go into the room to fold them!
Still loves her jumper!
Totally fascinated by this water bottle!

She lights up my life! I love her so much and her smiles!
I hope she always has her chubber cheeks!
Playtime!

7 Months!

I have a little bit of time this afternoon for myself and I figured it was about time to update my blog.

Tessa has been amazing. She is about 7 1/2 months old! I can't believe she will be 8 months soon. She is growing so fast. The past couple weeks she has started rocking back and forth on her hands and knees. Anyday now she should be crawling! I think it is so exciting that she is about to tackle this milestone but part of me wants her to stay in one spot!

So at 7 months, Tessa is amazing - she is sleeping through the night (most nights), usually down by 7:30pm and wakes up between 6-6:30am. attempting to crawl as mentioned before - a pro at scooting backwards and rolling to where she wants to go. loves playing with toys but gets very bored with just one toy and gets fussy, so we usually have her on toy overload. loves her baby food, especially anything with sweet potatoes. has a contagious smile, I always look forward to picking her up from daycare because I know I will see that beaming smile. starting to wave, always exciting. hates hot weather, gets very cranky and usually develops a little heat rash on her stomach :( loves our fat cat Casper, if he is around she is staring at him, unfortunately (or fortunately!) Casper keeps his distance which just drives Tessa bonkers! loves pickles and puffs. loves watching and listening to her daddy play the guitar. loves her daddy - he can get her to laugh in a way I can't! hates having her diaper changed and its always so hard to change her - she moves way too much. still loves her jumper but hasn't spent as much time in it lately since we are always playing with her on the floor. hmm...I know there is a million more things to write...but I can't seem to put them into words!
Below are some pictures that represent Tessa and her 7th month of life!

My attempt at getting some cute 7 month pictures. She kept looking everwhere except at me!

Decided to head inside for some picture but she wasn't too cooperative inside either!

And did this the entire time...hopefully someday she will learn this isn't too appropriate. But for now its just cute!

Up on all fours trying to crawl!

Eating a pickle for the first time! She loved it!

She woke up early while I was still trying to get ready for work! She usually holds the bottle herself but this morning she wasn't cooperating...hence the towel!

Home Sweet Home!

We have been Up North in good ol' Iggy since Friday! We just love it up here. As much as this should be a "vacation" we have been constantly on the go.
Tessa has not adjusted well to the heat. She is her mothers daughter :-) She is on no sort of routine at all. Poor thing is just so hot she doesn't even want to eat :-( seems like we are constantly trying to get her to take her bottle. She is also napping at very random times. Can't wait to get her home just to get her back to normal. I'm not used to a crying fussy baby. My parents did get a window A/C unit to put in our room to help Tessa sleep better. Speaking of sleeping!!! My parents bought Tess a beautiful crib for her to sleep in while she is here!!!!! No pack and play for her! It was a nice suprise!

Unfortunately I haven't got too many pictures due to my dumb camera acting up but we did get some pictures of Tessa's first experience in a non-bath setting with water!!!! She wasn't too sure at first but was soon splashing around in her cute little hot pink and zebra print swim suit (thanks Aunti Jess!). I will post those pictures when I get home.
Speaking of home! We were supposed to head back home around 3pm today but the Explorer (aka Exploder) had different plans. Totally an inexpensive (thankfully!!) fix but will take a couple hours. Instead of leaving around 7 or 8 tonight and get home late we just decided to stay another night (oh darn). We should be on the road by 11am tomorrow.
My poor mom hurt her back on Saturday. She can hardly walk! I feel so bad for her. She went to the chiropractor today and they should be able to help her...Until then she can't really do anything. She can't even pick Tessa up it hurts so bad. I hope she feels better soon!!
Well Tessa is napping so I'm going to go relax outside for a bit. I need as much fresh air as I can get!
Ill post pictures soon!

Until then...Peace, Love, and Tessa!!!!!

Such a good traveler!

Tessa is an amazing traveler! We only have a half hour left of our 4 hour drive up north and Tessa has been amazing the entire way! She slept for a while first, then played with her toys for a bit, and then went back to bed until just a while ago! I jumped into the back seat and her a bottle and now she is just playing with some toys! Such a nice relaxing drive up north! Hopefully my writing this won't made the next 30 minutes bad! :-)

Until next time...Peace, Love, and Tessa!!!
